We had some awesome drag racing Friday night at MRT Slotcarsinc.com Drag strip in Chandler Arizona. Our ProStock Inline winner ( Glenn) won by .001 seconds even though Mark, the runner up had a .002 faster reaction time! What a Fun race that was. 15 cars in all and very close action in all races. This program is rounding out very well! Our next race is Saturday March 28th. Doors open at 2 and racing starts at 4pm. Guys, to those of you that know Mike Stewart he has raced road coarse stuff with for a few years now but has yet to step foot onto the drag strip. We DO wait for his arrival. I know he is in between jobs so things are tight for him right now. Glenn

Good to see Mike is still around. I think he has you beat on melting down a car though. Ask him about his 6 neo magnet Unlimited car that he raced at the 1989 AZ race where his car burned up and melted the track. Must be the AZ heat.... If I remember right, he did out qualify Gary Beedle. Of course with that many magnets the car drove itself. ;D

That's a good start but I would like to see it in the t-jet and J/L classes to help out some guys who are 2 hundreths or more off of the pace. Glenn

Looking forward to the races on April 10th.Me and my son are both newbies and he is really excited.I think this is something my son will get interested in.I will bring money for cars!!

Well i am still around.I have slowed down alittle lately.I have mark askin for me to go drag racing and i will try as my life settles down alittle more.I did make a new set of thin wheels and tires for tonites race for a local racer to try.i am thinkin it would be fun to run a unlimited drag car.LOL maybe i wont melt the track as fast.Good to see Sam keepin this going.Say hi to Chuck havnt seen him in years.Oh ya Sam and wife your painting is awesome...

We had a great event last night! The format is pretty simple. So a cars shouldn't be an issue. Tjet's, JL's and Gplus. We had several new racers that had a blast. Unlimited sounds interesting. We're looking for some new classes to add. We just need a pool of racers that wants the class. |
