Am I correct that Ultra - G chassis can be used if the traction mag is removed? Keith

Hey Keith, not up on the names, but if its the same chassis just with traction mag I'd, guess it's ok with t/mag removed.
Had discusion with Matt (440GTX) not long ago about brushes. Not specifically about this class, but he did point out that this class was to use stock brushes (with pimple). Is the quick glance correct ? Any copper brushs ?

You are on the list at slots#15 & #16 Welcome to the race! . . . Just curious why no magnatractions? Can't speak with certainty, but I think it had something to do with attempting to keep the field tight. Also, as it was set-up as an entry level class it was desired that all stock items be readily available. With this system a newcomer just getting his first car off the hobby shop shelf can make a respectable showing. Below are the qualifying times of the quick eight from the first run of this class. Only .040 maximum separation between them. The slower end of the field bottomed out at 1.436, which not too bad in field of 26. Pos Entry Owner Color Model ET. 1- 14 Wood Green Camaro 1.054 2- 31 Nosubfor3 GRAY GTX 1.063 3- 18 Nitro Nut Racing Black Daytona 1.064 4- 6 Ninjatek Blue Javelin 1.076 5- 36 son of Shooter GRAY GTX 1.077 6- 2 Bluegnuoy Red Vette 1.079 7- 28 tvasi Black Grand Nat 1.08 8- 4 SKR Pink Challenger 1.094

Are magnatractions faster? I've seen it go both ways, x tractions definitely have the stronger magnets and motor. I've only seen tjet sgrigs magnatractions beat x-tractions. Sour grapes I guess, I was just trying to use what I 'm most comfortable with and have readily available.

Sour grapes I guess, I was just trying to use what I 'm most comfortable with and have readily available. I too have heard both opinions on magnatraction vs X-traction. I only have one magnatraction chassis and it's a real dog. I tried to get it up to speed of the x-tractions I have with no success, but I'm no tjetsprigs. Either way, a reason x-traction may have been chosen over magnatraction is the availability of cars and parts. I think it is easier for a newcomer to obtain the currently available new x-tractions than trying to rebuild a used magnatraction. Some discussion has taken place and another class that include magnatraction chassis may be coming soon. Hence, the new logo featured at the bottom of the King of Streets poster.

Keith Hey Keith, not up on the names, but if its the same chassis just with traction mag I'd, guess it's ok with t/mag removed. Xtraction Ultra-G chassis may be use for Street Class races if the circular traction magnet is removed. Had discusion with Matt (440GTX) not long ago about brushes. Not specifically about this class, but he did point out that this class was to use stock brushes (with pimple). Is the quick glance correct ? Any copper brushs ? tia ........... Peter When it comes to Street Class, if it came from Matt then it is the gospel. I will change the quick glance chart to reflect the same. Racers take notice!!!
Street Class rules currently show "any copper/ carbon brushes;". This has been changed to read "Stock brushes only;".Disregard above notice, having check my notes the quick glance chart listed under the poster on the sign-up thread is most recent rulings. This chart supersedes any previous printing of Street Class rules. Hopefully, this change will not cause anyone any inconveniences. Ninjatek NTRA Race Coordinator
