Yes we have all been there and spent way more than we had planned to. I must admit most of the Harbor Freight tools are fairly good for low priced tools.

Has anyone taken any readings on viper scale motor magnets? Sorry if this was discussed else where. Intresting thought, had not thought about it. Since measuring devices vary.......... Measurements comparing Viper mags to BSRT 290's or 77's would be helpfull. SHOULD ANYBODY TAKE THIS UPON THEMSELVES...... be sure to post results......... Peter I have taken some readings on the level 10 motor magnets from Viper and BSRT with my Gauss meter. The Viper and BSRT level 10s were similar reading in the 1200-1300 range. Neos ran in the 2300-2700 range. As a comparison that read 90-100 grams of pull on the old postal scale. Stock T jets read 1-2 there. I do not have an 290s or 77s to test. Some of the Neo T jet style were in the 3000-3500 range. They have so much pull you have to slide them apart, if you let them snap together from a distance they will destroy each other.

Thanks for numbers , Dave. Reason for asking about 277 & 290 mags was for comparison of mags used in MM/PS. These two typesof BSRT mags are ceramic grade. ........... Peter
