My FED actually made it down the track intact. Woo Hoo! I improvised a fix on the crown gear and threw it back together, hopefully it will get a little faster as it gets more runs (if it survives).

Warm ups? Yeah someone else today talked about how slow cars are(Didn't seem like much warm up time at all) There are alot of cars to time so... It's all good. I was asked about pics too.. Sure Eagle will post pics of races not qualifying! Da'... Hope when the races start the warm ups and between maintenance is handled by the Blacktop Crew. Looking forward to those better times!.. No Offense, but you know some people do complain, i'm just putting it out there.. Everyone needs to rework their cars when they get home after this one... That Texas sun baked em' good! Good Luck Racers

dont get me wrong I am not complaining iust that I cant believe my m/fc and t/f are 3 sec. off the pace with polymers and mean greens. I have 4 gear stocks running .980 at 24volts and you guys are @27 correct?

79malibu.....I will let Eagle give the final on this, but M/FC is running at 24v and TF is running at 26v. The times at Blacktop Raceway are typically slower than some of the other tracks for whatever reason. I have been comparing times and across the board they are .15 to .18 slower than the times at my track, but it's all relative and it's consistent. For instance my N/TF ran a .444 at my track and I qualified with a .596. We clean the track and verify voltage during qualifying and before every round. We also are doing our level best to honor any instructions sent with the cars. Today was a busy day with qualifying and more tech on some of the cars. We got everyone down the track and qualified with the exception of one. We are set for a full day of racing and coverage tomorrow. Good luck to everyone.

Hi Guys. I haven't posted for a year or two but I remember we had the same problem with various peoples cars under performing at the first few mail away races. It can be many things. Some track rail is taller, wider and/or has a bigger/smaller cross sectional area. That will change performance. Also while track voltage may be the same down to .01 volts, there is still variances in that small .01 and in the power supplies wattage. How long/thick are the wires to the track from the power supplies? where is the voltage read and how many taps to the rails are there? Also the various track surfaces... Formica, various types of paint and how really flat is the track. A car that flys on one track can be a middle of the pack car on a different track. Just my 2 cents and I don't have a dog/car in this race so I hope youall enjoy as I slide into the background again. Great looking cars! Oh... WDWAHO Raceway is now in our 8th year of low key racing.

Jeff I was talking to 79malibu and we wanted to ask if you are using Aurora or AW chassis? I noticed my T/F cars QT pretty good (Aurora chassis)and his was slower (AW chassis).
