Hairy Canary white Willys, runs Dave632 for the #5 spot since #6 & 7
were no shows.
The Willys takes the win in a close one running .6673 21.58 to Jungle
Jims 6827 18.78.

Hilltop Camaro #7 vs Dave632 #6 JJ Camaro. Dave holds on to the #6 spot
running a .6941 18.18 over a .7374 18.28

JJWallace rd/wh T bird vs ECBill blu Dodge for the #1 spot.
Both cars slowed for this race?? Gave them both a good warm up.
Made me look at the power supplies to make sure they were set right,
they were. Results were the same however as Bills
car passed Jeffs just before the finish same as the last time they ran.
.7031 21.99 over .7279 19.05.

The Vette is running its best times ever hitting a .5849 24.44 to hold on to
the spot over JJs good .6134 21.92.

Hilltop gray 55 Chevy calls out Kiwidaves wht/grn Dodge for the #8 spot.


Dave holds on to the spot by a whisker as he wins the race by .0054. Dave
got the slight .01 hole shot and it was enough to get the win. The Dodge
ran a .6730 20.35 to Hilltops quicker .6684 20.11, hole shot win even though
the cars are started at the same time.

Shark pool winner & newcomer to the list Schlesenrj, (Justin), and his rd/bk Buick vs #9 Hilltops
Gray #9 55 Chevy. "Grady" holds on to the #9 spot but the Buick gives a good account. .6668 20.23
vs. .6847 20.91 for a close .0271 hold.

Lots of fast cars this weekend, Dave's excellent race coverage has kept the excitement high for the entire event.
I am definetly impressed by the performance of woodcote's Hornby chassis, that orange Alpine if flying.
I want to thank Dave for helping me get faster through my first few proxy drag races, everything he told me I soaked up like a sponge.
He's one of the fastest builder/racers on the 1/64 & 1/1 drag strips, and very generous with sharing his extensive knowledge.
So the excitement level went through the roof when I lined up against him for the I S/S final. It's a classic tale of mentor/student final.
I just barely won this time, but I know I got to watch my back now.
The I S/Comp 2.5 class is fast 37 mph!!!!!

Guess my PSO callout for Slayer was canceled due to his no-show.  If I have this figured out, I call out Nosub for 3rd. Or is it second. Which ever it is, put me on the track against somebody.

It's the Micro Scalextric chassis, produced by Hornby here in the UK since 1995. It is by far the most common HO chassis available in the UK.

The design was based on the Marchon MR-1, which Scalextric used as the platform for their entry into the 1/64 scale world in 1994. Hornby updated the chassis the following year, using braids instead of solid pick-ups and smaller, round neo traction magnets. The chassis shape and most of the components were the same or quite similar.

Of the two cars I sent in to race, the green 'Pioneer' Nissan is a completely stock version of the later (post-2005) chassis with the now standard plastic guide blade. I have modified the orange 'Alpine' Nissan as we do for circuit racing here in the UK and added some big rear tyres and a wheelie bar. It was very quick on my strip, so I'm very pleased it did well today.

Thanks for educating me on these chassis'.  It's always nice to learn something new.  You sure do have yours running well!

I'd like to see close-up pics of Nosub's Purple Haze 57 and Old Mech's Vega funny car. Having a tough time narrowing it down to top 3, with so many outstanding cars in the field.

I had posted these two races earlier and for some reason they were lost.

PSO call outs at 18V.

ECBill #4 calls out JJWallace for #3.

Jeffs Mustang holds on to the spot running a .6161 21.78 over the Vettes
.6542 20.91.

This call out was not made but I wanted to see it anyway.

The #2 Nosubfor 3 "blue silk" Corvette vs the "Rebel" 57 Nomad for the #1 spot. The
Vette was running some great times and is a real contender for the #1 spot.
This was a good race and close.
The 57 gets a slight hole shot but quickly loses it at the 60' mark. Gains the lead
again at the 330' and pulls slightly ahead to the stripe, winning a close battle.
Great race as the Nomad ran a .5808 24.18 over the Vettes .5900 24.35.
This battle may have been won but the war is not over. These cars are improving all
the time and there is a target on the back of the #1 car. Nice race.

Absolutely, a big thank you to Super Tires!
And to Dave for running a top notch event!
Sure had a great time running with all of you guys.
Bazooka activity seems to have been in check this time.  Perhaps due to the threat of a missile response. However there was the incident where Hilltops 56 lost its rear end...  Conviently there's no photo coverage...

Fortunately there were no unprovoked attacks at this meet. The Hilltop 56 incident is being investigated. Foul play is
not suspected at this time but ECBills crew are being questioned....

Today is the LAST DAY for Best Appearing votes. Winners will be announced tomorrow. Cars will be shipped back later this week,
Thurs. or Fri. to allow time for prizes to be added after winners are determined.
