Match Race format Best 2 out of 3 wins.
Match 1 Dave632 57 Chevy TR-1 vs Ecbill Blue Flame Cuda DR-1 @ 20v
Race 1 Dave's little 57 flies with some tire/gear mods and gaps the Ecbill's Cuda by a bunch. Dave wins one. .5644et / .6235et
Race 2 Same movie different scene. The 57 Chevy does it again in the opposite lane. Dave632 takes this one in two. .5684et / .6245et
Match 2 Dave632 tan Mustang vs Ecbill Blue Motion Camaro @ 20v
Race 1 This could get exciting since these guys have pushed everything on these cars to the max. There up.....light goes green the Camaro is out like lightning and the Mustang blows the tranny and hits the rev limiter. This one is over that quick. Ecbill wins in one as Dave a cannot continue. .5812et / blown gear
Poor broke little Mustang
Match 3 JJWallace 4 gear org/wht FED vs Eagle Racing 4 gear blk FED @ 26v
Race 1 Here are a couple of unlimited 4 gear Nostalgia dragsters. The org/wht is running all brass gears on top plate and crown. This is always fun! JJW is gone and lays down a solid pass. Eagle runs a good number but it's obvious the power is not there for this meeting. JJ gets this one done in two. .4248et / .5623et
Race 2 .4267et / .5700et (no picture)
Match 4 Ecbill blu 57 Chevy vs Kiwidave red Ruder Cuda @ 20v
Race 1 The cars launch and the Chevy shows the Mopar his taillights all the way down the track. Ecbill leads at every interval and wins. 1.0144et / 1.2779et
Race 2 More the same from the other lane. The 57 is the faster car this weekend and wins this in two.

Looks like Frankenstein blew a gasket and not the one I thought it would. It was put together with bits and pieces anyway. ECBill and Dave632 1-1. 2.5 Match race will make the difference. Blue 57 Chevys are showing the way home. Jeff that dragster is running good, I will have to get mine out of moth balls for the next race.

Match 5 Dave632 grn 57 Nomad vs Ecbill wht 57 Vette @ 20v
Race 1 These two are the most closely matched cars to race yet, but Dave632 has a slight edge in performance and pulls off a solid first win. Ecbill is not giving up! .4346et / .4729et.
Race 2 They were up under the hood on the Vette before the burnout. Did they find something? I guess we're gonna find that out right now. The leave and by the 60' the Nomad has a car length. That grows to about two through the lights. They did find a little bit more in the Vette, but not enough. Dave632 wins in two. .4391et / .4610et
Match 6 Eagle Racing blu Pro Stock Bike vs JJWallace grn/wht PSB @ 22v
Race 1 This is the only time the bikes get to race....during Match races. So these guys are all about this match. Angry Jeff is pretty angry with Eagle because Eagle has had his number every meeting. He hopes to put an end to that today. They launch super hard and Eagle betters JJ's et by .0065 and loses the race on a holeshot. You got to think Angry Jeff isn't as angry now. .6044et win / .5979et
Race 2 They lin'em up again. Now Eagle is the one that looks angry. It just feels angry up here right now! JJ hits the light hard and Eagle's rider makes a sandwich. JJ doesn't need a third race and wins in two on holeshots. Eagle blisters the track with his second run. .6024et win / .5889et.
Match 7 Dave632 blk 57 Corvette vs Eagle Racing purp 32 Ford
Race 1 Here we have a couple of iconic hot rods pulling in. The lights drop and the Corvette hooks up and gets out on the roadster. Dave has a little hotter build than Eagle and wins this one. .4954et / .5633. (no pics on this one)
Race 2 This was almost a mirror reflection of Race 1. Eagle picks it up a little but it still isn't enough. The Corvette wins in two. (no pics on this one)
Match 8 Ecbill Flamed Camaro Hornsby vs Mazda 350Z Hornsby @ 14v
Race 1 It is clear right from the hit that the Flamed Camaro is a hotter build than the 350Z. Ecbill gaps the tuner by a bunch and lays down a smooth run. Looks like Ecbill has this one wrapped up. .6209et / 1.1721et.
Race 2 They come around to do it again. The light flashes green and the Camaro goes into tire shake instantly while Mazda walks away for the win. Uh Oh.......this one just got interesting. 1.1701et / deslot.
Race 3 Ecbill looks a little nervous....he wasn't expecting that last round. They got it together though and lay down another fast pass and put this one to rest. Ecbill wins match in three. .6158et / 1.1773et.
Match Race 9 was between Hilltop's Grady 55 Chevy and Kiwidave's Villian Cuda, two PSO cars that actually raced during the Call Outs. The Match race would have taken place if that had not happened. Hilltop won that race by the way....so I don't think this one ends here. To be continued....... ....

Dave, That's a shame that Frankenstein blew a gear! Never had crown gear problems but mine kept spinning the brass gears on their shafts while tuning. Pinions, drive and driven gears all did it.
Your blown gear saved my Camaros doors cause they surely would of been blown off if Frank held together. Thought I might have had something for you when the car jumped from 1.2 to .6 on 2nd day of tuning (braids of course). That's about all I got out of it no matter what I tried. Curious what kind of ET it ran on Jeff's track.
Yours is called Frankenstein because of its pieced together body, mine is young Frankenstein because of what's under the hood. Perhaps Jeff would post some pics.
Good job in the inline match race. What do you have under the hood of that 57 Tjet body?

Well I can't believe I don't have anymore cars to run. I'm pretty brain dead right now to be honest. It's been 3 days of non stop racing, documenting, uploading, posting, typing, reading, etc, etc........you get the idea. It takes time to do one of these races. They are fun and rewarding for me but if you are first starting out, start small for your first event or two and figure it out. This one was supposed to be modest and it blew up. I'm not complaining because I love it when that happens. A great start to the year with several new racers that I sure hope we will be seeing return. Everyone that entered made this race a success!
I still need to award a Best in Show. I will announce that tomorrow evening and then put some closure on the race. I appreciate everyone that sent cars and those that sponsored and sent giveaway prizes! You are all appreciated!
There were also a lot of compliments all during the race that are greatly appreciated as well. It makes the effort even more worthwhile. Thanks.

I guess I should have done a little more testing on it but I was worried about the crown gear. Of course it blew the motor pinion instead. The Mustang is quicker than most of my BSRT 2.5 cars. The blue/white 57 has a basically stock jag TR3 chassis with 8/20 gears in it, braid of course. You have to modify the crown gear to fit the chassis but it can be done. Maybe Robert can make some new gears for these as they surely react well to modifications. The Hornby chassis running at only 14 volts is a rocket. Jeff congratulations on finally beating Eagles bike. I think he had won all the previous matches. The black 57 Vette is the quickest 6 ohm chassis I have, it used to have a lexan body on it but I changed it for the match race. This was a fun race and thanks again to Jeff for running it.

That Hornby is a hot little number. Kept shredding pinon gears. Almost got to the point of having to be a no show for lack of gears. Couldn't have Mazda's car travel all that way and not have anybody to race against. Finally got around to painting up one of Sam's bodies. You may be seeing more of this car.
