Ok - 2 days, its all ramping up.
The sandfly team cars selected to race, just love the fresh built roadster.



Timing lights reset last night, track warmed up, these custom tracks are great lanes run 0.002 difference.

Well lets say on 14v over the 1/4 mile standard 4 gears are SLOW, jungle jim did 1.065 on 18v and a whapping 1.286 on 14v.

Ok race fans tonight is the 4 gear challenge for 2024.

Tested the cars last night, some in the 1.300 a lot in the 1.400 and some real slow ones, should be a great night so long as the weather holds off.

Sandfly alley has now closed for the year, after a great year racing, we picked up wins in Promod with the ghost and truck with the f100. We were also close to the top in a few other classes as well.

To the racing, with a whopping 58 cars entered, thats right 58 standard 4 gear cars. Voltage set to 14v over the 1/4 mile, much to the dismay of one participant, who thought we were going to race on a higher voltage.

Group A had the fastest half of the field, and the rest were in group B.
Now that took some time to sorting out the fields, some of the racers didn't realise i was running two separate races and were confused as to why the top two qf's were in the same race. The track promotor in his race to get the fields sorted missed two sandfly cars, but never mind.
As you can Imagin the racing was very close all night with the win lights telling the story, and i mean very close racing.

The winner on the night was pony boy which was not unexpected.

Another high light was Train guy Ron firing his home-made cannon in the back yard, now that was very loud.

So thats it, all done and dusted, till next year...
