Looks like this is going to be a great race, classes are filling up. My inlines are ready, in fact I have 3 running very well but will stick with the 2 I originally set up. Would like to see some more Rookies enter that class.

Ok. I'll know more after the next 3 days, but put me down for 2 in SC and 2 in inline veteran (I guess you'd consider me a veteran, although I've only ever won 1 event 7 years ago..lol). Still working on all of them, and it may be close, but I should have all 4 finished in time.

2018 NTRA Texas Nationals at Bear Creek Dragway

Sign ups continue to come in. I had to extend the Sign Up spreadsheet due to the amount of 4G Super Comp entries !! THAT is very cool. I have also mentioned that this will be a "List Racing" event as well. I will explain a little bit about this for those who do not know how it works.

These are the updated Lists going into the Texas Nationals. To get on one of the Lists, a racer would build a car to Class specs and Call Out the #10 spot. If more than one racer wants on the List, they would go into the "Shark Pool" and go through a Round Robin type elimination for a chance to Call Out the #10 spot. It is entirely possible that one or more racers that are on the Lists will not show up. They will drop no more than 2 spots and the racer below them can still Call Out for the spot above them. If those racers are #9 or #10 they will fall off the Lists and that will open the spot up for whoever wants it if a car has been sent. Only one car per racer can be on a List. A racer can only Call Out the spot directly above them. There are typically two Rounds of races at each event and only one Call Out per Round. I think that's pretty much it. Sounds complicated, but it's really not. All that stuff is for me to worry about anyway. All YOU need to do is build it and send it and we will make sure you get a fair shot at the Spot or List.

These are the current PSO and 4GO rules in use. They are basically Pancake Comp rules with  a few additional specifications.

Chassis Build	PRO STREET OUTLAW and FOUR GEAR OUTLAW (PSO) AFX non MT/MT/XTraction  (4GO) AFX Specialty/ MT/ AW XTraction
Tires	Any slip on tire/wheel combo combination. Double flanged wheels allowed Tire diameter not to exceed .490" (PSO) and Unlimited (4GO) max diameter. Tires must not be wider than wheel used.
Gears	Original top plate gears only. Any crown gear may be used. Gears may be blueprinted.
Armature	Any factory wound armature. No lower than 5.0 ohm. Blueprinting permitted. No de-winding or timing adjustments allowed.
Motor Magnets	2 motor magnets max. Ceramic material only, Dash magnets are permitted. Magnets may be shimmed with non ferrous, non magnetized material. Magnets may be glued into place.
Chassis	Top plate must be of same mfg. as chassis. Blueprinting is permitted. No cutting on chassis or top plate Only one guide pin. Chassis may be cut for the addition of traction magnets and the relocation of the guide pin to properly fit a car body.
Traction Magnets	Allowed, no more than 2.
Electrical	Readily available. Stock or stock replacement. Braid and shunt wires are allowed.
Body	(PSO) Body must have doors and fenders. (4GO) Doorslammer type body. Body mounts maybe repositioned. Only hard plastic, injection molded or resin bodies allowed. Scoops, wings, parachutes etc...are optional.
Miscellaneous	Wheelie bars and up to 2 traction magnets can be used. Ballast is permitted but must not be visible from the outside of body.

In the last few list races there have been a couple who have not shown up so getting on the list will just involve sending in your car.
