Looks like the front bumper has been worn out by running over plastic pedestrians, needs a repaint. Maybe that's just "plastic pedestrian" residue. Might be able to just wipe it off .

Well, I guess we shouldn't have to worry about the snow, going thru the mountain passes on the wat to Washington this time.

The 2 55s are running good. The green/white one was with a thousandth of the 57 Vette. Took the Vette apart and only cleaned it, slowed it down by .05? ? I have had goofy things happen like that before, makes no sense.

Wow, June has almost disappeared, that was fast. Just a friendly reminder that only 5 weeks from today your Hot August Nationals entries will need to be mailed and received at Good Time Speedway. I'm sure that those 5 weeks will zoom by also . Still plenty of time to get some cars built!

I have all the cars tested and pretty much ready. A couple have fallen off including the 57 Vette outlaw car which was running like the old 57 Nomad did until I touched it???

I'm starting to get the early race jitters now . I have only been working on the new 4g Comp chassis and my PSO car. I have lost time with my PSO Mustang....but what else is new . I've been stocking up on some parts and plan on doing some serious testing leading up to the race. Going to start on that this weekend. Pulling out my Gassers for the first time in quite awhile. Getting pumped for the race!!HOT AUGUST NATIONALS
We want to see YOU there!!

Out of alllllllll the bodies I have, I do not have not one Nostalgia Pro Stock for the MT type chassis. I figured I would have something?? I guess it's time to make one.

My entries are close to ready. My 2 55 Chevy's are running good and are ready for the AFX class race one of them is beating the 57 Vette most of the time in match races. The gassers are also running good and are ready with Christine causing trouble as usual. The outlaw street 57 Vette is close but still not as quick as the Nomad was, how can a body make much difference?? The 4Gs are struggling however and need more work.

Dave, as someone pointed out, some bodies fit tighter (too tight) than others , sort of pinching the chassis. you might have to work on the mounts inside the body to loosen that fit up a tad. hook a chassis up to power supply and get it spinning pretty good. then pinch in one ears and see if the "pitch/whine" changes. this can help you determine if a body is too tight. someone had to tell me that a long time ago .... I was very frustrated because a body I really liked slowed the car and I wasn't able to figure it out. you might even want the body just barely loose enough to move around some without contacting tires and such. if the body cannot be worked, trim the ears a little at a time until you get the optimum fit. if all this has been covered and I missed it, sorry....... never hurts to go over some stuff again!!!

After a little research, it looks like one of my Mustang bodies that I have will suffice for a Pro Stock body. They did not have much of a scoop or spoiler back in 1968 and those bodies look just like the Pro Stockers back then. I'm glad because I really don't have the time to fab up a body and get it painted along with what I'm already doing. I did find some cool mid 80's MT style Pro Stock bodies that I forgot I had.......a Frank Iaconio type Camaro and a Bob Glidden Thunderbird. Sweeeet!

Thanks Al, Bill mentioned that to, I will give it a try. The difference between the cars is small but we are dealing with hundreds and even thousands of a second here but on the track that can convert to car lengths.
