Wow what a great weekend of racing job well done Gale!! Congrats to mike and Hairycanary on thier wins. Dave top dog is top dog thats all i can say about that,also need to throw a shout out to nosub that was a good schoolin and Hairy canarys aces wild is a car i just can't seem to get out in front of. Thanks everyone for making this another wonderful nitro slots event

A fantastic weekend of racing! Lots of close races, great coverage at a 1st class race facility.
Sure do enjoy racing with you guys! Congrats to Mike on your 1st victory. Glad to have you as part of the group. Congrats to Rick on your Funny car win and Dave for continuing to head up the list racing.
Wonder who's going to win the best of show. It promises to be equally competitive.
Race weekends sure go by fast. It's kinda like Rick' signature. to paraphrase: Weeks of preparations followed by mere seconds of action.

all the race masters know what kind of dedication it takes to put on and event o this scale and I think you did a tremendous job.

Trophy Presentations & Sponsorship Distribution
The Nostalgia Funny Car Trophy goes to hairycanary. Congratulations! Plus a 4Gear Modern Funny Car and a 34' Ford Sedan Delivery resin body.
The T-jet Gasser Trophy goes to finistauri. Congratulations! Plus an AW complete Thunderjet chassis, a pair of OS3 black dot magnets, a 6.1 ohm armature and a 48' Anglia resin body. Plus a ready to go Chevelle body from Bill. Pretty much a DIY "T-Jet Gasser"
The Best in Show trophy goes to jjwallace. Congratulations! Plus an AW Xtraction/Mopar Unit from alpink.
The Sponsorship Trophy goes to the 4 fine gentlemen in pic. Congratulations! Here's the deal fellas; I only contemplated having 2 sponsors and when receiving all the sponsorship I had no time to make more. The 2 trophies shown will be shipped to hairycanary & mazda. I will get 2 more made and mailed to alpink & Bill in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks for your understanding!
Mazda sent these, appear to be new/never used, AFX Magna Traction chassis.
Each of us will at least get 1, some of us 2 of these beauties. Depends on other items received  .
Mazda also sent these 'classic' stickers to be distributed. There will be 2 or 3 of us that will not get one so if you prefer not to get one, for whatever reason, please let me know, it'll make it much easier on my decision making skills  .
Everyone will get 3 or 4 of these lil' gems.
These are the 4 different varieties that hairycanary sent for distribution. If any of you have a preference, please let me know via PM. First come, first served. Again, that would make it easier on my decision making skills  .
And you'll each receive 1 each of the items pictured.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for helping to create such a memorable 4 days! Wow, you guys know how to party! It was such a great time, I'll remember it always. It's just really hard to put into words how much fun it is to host an event. I advise any and all of you, if any way possible, to get a track built and host an event! Sure, it takes some input but what don't? But the gratification you get is well worth it IMHO. I am just so thankful for everyone's participation, all the positive feedback, all the sponsorship . . . just everything!

Well done Gale such terrific commentary on the races and very smooth run event.  Congratulations to Rick and Mike on there wins. Especially Mike as I know what a buzz it is for your first win. I did the same at the last event. Also thanks to the sponsors for all the goodies. These are always great fully received. Thanks to all you guys for some very close racing and I look forward to the next. |
