I would also like to thank all the sponsors for this race and for the congratulations. I have to say tuning the cars for this race was different. The lower voltage changed things. Some cars that ran great at 20 volts were not so hot at 14. Others were good at both voltages. I found brush spring tension differed between tuning for the different voltages. When I was tuning the cars at times the T jets were outrunning the AFX cars. After all was done however it seems the lighter gears of the AFX made a slight difference. I had several runs in the high .9s with the AFX and one or two with the T jets. I did extensive testing with probably 100 or so test passes. They were not consistent however, sometimes falling off by as much as .2 and recleaning was needed which did not always restore performance completely, never knew what was going to happen when I took one apart. Running them dead cold was another surprise. Some times they would run best cold and other times they needed a 10-15 second warm up. It did not make a lot of sense.

The sled's cluster is probably binding against the body. No worrys if it is a non runner, was curious on how the stock sized t-jet silicones from Ho Tires direct held up on the strip. Please don't put a burden on your time hack with it. All the cars look great and the strip looks to be in tip - top shape

Getting ready to start Tjet Stock Eliminations. Here is the field of cars in Qualifying order left to right, front to back.
Round 1 ladder. All cars get to race at Bear Creek so Round 1 is basically cars racing to get into the field of 16. Good luck!!
Forgive the crude ladder and poor pic

I could see one of the brushes bouncing loose when I rotated the motor by hand. It was necessary to tear into the car to repair. It's solid now! You are in the show.

Round 1 is in the books. Some cars got faster from Qualifying and a few got slower. Congrats to those moving onto Round 2. Here's how it went down.
Race 1 Ecbill vs Gnome. This looks like it should be a close race....on paper. Gnome's big block Ford wants nothing more than to send the Mopar packing. But the Challenger steps up big time on Raceday and shows the Tbolt it's taillights. Ecbill wins 1.3314et to 1.6793et.
Race 2 GTS vs Mazda. Both cars slow down from Qualifying. It was a good race. The Fiat is a Gamer and got out on the Chevelle, but couldn't hold on and GTS drives around on the big end. GTS wins 1.6916et to 1.8171et.
Race 3 Nosubfor3 vs Alpink. Once again both cars slow quite a bit from Qualifying runs. The big block Camaro puts it on the turbine powered Batmobile and sends it to the Bat Cave (couldn't resist). Nosub wins 1.5651et to 2.1917et.
Race 4 Hairy Canary vs Kstocks. The Camaro gets the holeshot and wins this one going away against the Mustang. HC found some more power overnight. Kstocks is going home. HC wins 1.3587et to 1.7741et.
Race 5 Alpink vs Gibbo61. Gibbo's Sled double bulbs the Studie trying to throw him off his game. The Sled has been having some trouble and needs every advantage. But Alpink just gets up on the wheel and easily takes the win putting the Sled on the trailer. 1.5200et to 1.7698et.
Race 6 Gibbo61 vs Triple52. Both cars leave at the same time, but the Beetle struggles to get down the track handing the win to Gibbo and the Willys truck. Gibbo61 made a big improvement in ET. Gibbo61 1.4498et to 2.2682et.
Race 7 GTS vs Triple52. The '50 Chevy runs his number, but it's not enough and he's going home. The Nova is showing some consistency and leads at every interval to get the win. GTS 1.4228et to 1.9396et.

Some close racing there, well done to the first round winners. There was I thinking that I stood a chance at having the slowest car and my little Fiat has gone faster on it’s second run .

Round 2 results are in. These cars are all over the place in times. Some are faster, some are slower, some that were getting faster are slower.....gotta love it! Stock Tjets at 14v always seem to be like that. But a few builders have it down.
Race 8 Dave632 vs Ecbill. Ecbill has a tough job going against the #1 car. The lights drop and the cars are gone. Dave's Camaro is shot out of a rocket and Ecbill slows giving Dave an easy win. The '67 is in the Quarter Finals. 1.1073et to 1.5392et.
Race 9 Sjracer vs Ecbill. This looks to be a good race. They are tied together as they launch and stay that all the way through the traps. Great race! Sjracer's blue Camaro gets it done. Ecbill is headed home. 1.3828et to 1.3981et.
Race 10 Kstocks vs GTS. The Chevelle sounds rough pulling to the line. The Mustang stages and they're gone. The Chevelle is missing bad all the way down the track. Meanwhile the Mustang gets down with a solid run. Kstocks wins 1.2867et to 1.9005et.
Race 11 Nosubfor3 vs Hairy Canary. Nosub has his work cut out for him. But the Camaro continues to slow while the Willys of Hairy Canary is on his Qualifying number and moves into the Quarter Finals to race Kstocks. 1.3257et to 1.6061et.
Race 12 Dave632 vs Hairy Canary. Battle of the red Camaros. The #2 car is a rocketship and shows why with an easy win. HC's Camaro slowed waaaay down, but I'm afraid it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Dave632 blisters the track for the win. 1.1174et to 1.7163et.
Race 13 Alpink vs Nosubfor3. These guys are serious....neither one wants to stage. Finally they are in. Light goes green and the Rude Stude is out on the Vega. He holds it past 60' but the Vega gets up on the tire and drives right by at mid track. Nosub wins 1.3176et to 1.6479et.
Race 14 Sjracer vs Gibbo61. The Buick Gran Sport is at #3 for a reason and puts the Willys pickup on the trailer. The truck slowed down on that run. Sjracer wins 1.1915et to 1.6904et.
Race 15 GTS vs Gnome. The Wagon was over a tenth faster in Qualifying. The cars launch and the Nova gets out and the Gnome could never make it back up. He lost the tenth advantage on that pass and lost the race. GTS moves on 1.4205et to 1.4487et.
