Thank you Finistauri yes your source was correct that is a fully complete AFX dragster and it does have some KGC upgrades along with some old JW drag wheels

That was one amazing car Gnome. The car it beat in the final had the chassis from the Jungle Jim car which was
at or near the top of 4GO for a long time and it probably was lighter than the dragster.

Just wanted to say the win in 4G unlimited was due to survival more than anything else as everyone was blowing up the gears.
It was an old original Aurora AFX chassis which had stock top plate with no mods, not even the screw holding the cluster gear.
What it did have was low traction rear tires which put less load on the gears but once it got rolling it pulled pretty hard.
The 60' was pretty slow. It also had mild motor magnets, once again to kill the bottom end. It did
spin the tires some coming out of the hole before hooking up. The traction magnets were also well above the track.

Jeff What a Great Event 🏁 🤔 4 Days and I just can't imagine how many Day in Preparation, Unboxing Fine-tuning our cars that might have been disabled or bumped around by the truck drivers 😲 And it's not even over yet 😨 how many cars have to be carefully packaged and shipped back. Myself and I'm sure all my fellow Drag Mates could never find enough works to exspess our Thanfulness and gratitude, Jeff you have most of all created a New High Standard and interesting competition. Drag Racing Events for the future might never be the same. Finistauri

I appreciate everyone's patience with me getting the cars packed up. There were a lot of racers, cars, and prizes. I've been putting in the time after work everyday this week, but I did take Monday to recover after the racing this weekend. The majority of the cars will be mailed out today and I only have 3 or 4 left to pack up this evening. Everyone got whatever insurance their entry would cover. No one was less than $50. I will post tracking numbers as the cars are mailed out. Thanks everybody! |
