Hairy Canary's Corvette ran in Gasser but is having some downforce issues with the extra power of Super Comp and got loose on the top end taking out one of the timing blocks. He was able to save it.

Wow! That was a very close round of 3 gear SC qualifying

After Qualifying Tjet Gasser and 3g SC what I am seeing is cars with not enough downforce. Some would barely get down the track and other not at all. Some would be flying if they only had some more downforce. There's plenty of traction on the Maxx Trax surface. Also something that tuners need to consider....I run my races on a switch as do some other venues. There is no delay in getting the power to the car on a switch. It's all there at once unlike most controllers. So some extra downforce is needed on the launch. Wheelie bars aren't always enough when there is plenty of traction. Something to think about for the next race at Smoky Mountain. If a car is set up properly the ET will improve on a switch versus controller....fyi.

Next up will be the Nitroslots Kiwi Challenge cars. I want to get those Qualified before calling it a night. 18 cars signed up but only 13 will get the call to go up against the Kiwi's. If a racer sent two cars only one will race if in the top 13. So here we go......one Qualifying session to go. I appreciate all the Racers that sent cars.

Once again congratulations Swiftkart on your TQ, this time in pancake Super comp.
The old Rebel Nomad has a long history on this site. It is running exactly the same combination that it
did when it ran PSO. I found that the stronger poly magnets would help it in the 60 foot and 330 but would slow it down
on the big end so I ran it exactly the same way it ran in the past. The Vette has the poly magnets.

Both cars I sent have poly mags. The 69 Camaro has Mr. Sam Skillets motor in it and should have been a lot faster than the 2010 Camaro, now I know why it wasn't thanks Jeff's post, I didn't account for the instant hit of a switch in my setup and I bet that is hurting it off the line because his motor runs hard.

What Jeff said about the switch makes sense. I’ve thought about what the difference would be but I figured I wasn’t making enough power to worry about😁 going to have to install one.

**Nitroslots cars will be randomly matched against the New Zealand cars by drawing out of a hat. Match racing format Best of 3 races wins the Match. Most Matches won wins the Challenge. In the event of a tie the top car from each team will race another Best of three Match for the trophy. Don't be surprised if it comes down to that. They have seen our times but we haven't seen theirs. The match ups can play a huge roll in the outcome.
