Is 25 gramss min for 4g stock? Just checking. Thanks. Yes that is correct for 4g Stock. Just so you know.....the reason for the weight limit is to allow for customized bodies which are typically resin and are heavier than a stock 4g plastic body. It is intended to help promote (not deter) customizing. As long as you are close.

Sam, you must have been sitting on the keyboard. Quick response. Adding wt is easy, its taking it off thats a PITA. Its even worse in full scale.

I was in here reading when you popped in Mike,
I hear yha on the 1 to 1. Especially if you're keeping it stock looking.

I thought i had a really good running 4gear out of the box. Then I weighed it. 21 grams. Added four grams to make it legal and now i have a average 4gear.

What I have found in my thousands of trips down the strip is that MPH is not affected much by weight but ET is unless the weight is adding traction to the car. In some of those cases the car was quicker when weight was added.

you, absolutely, need to experiment where you add the weight. sometimes you want to help hold the front down. sometimes you want to help get more traction on the rear drive wheels. sometimes you want to divide it and percentages vary according body and chassis build. often, you want to keep it as low as possible.

Just be close on the weight....within a gram or two. I'm not adding weight unless a car is way off. 25g sounds heavy when you have a light car, but when you weigh a car that has a resin body, it's right in there. My 4GO Vega weighs in at 25g+ without wheelie bars. My Twisted Texan Pinto weighs in at 24g+ with a modified AFX body and wheelie bars.

Got all of mine ready. My 4GS with a Jegs Pro Stock body weighs in at 24G stock with no weight added. Grumpy's toy gasser is running well hit 22 MPH @ 18 volts. Looking at the picture I see it needs a cleaning, can't see that normally. Grumpy's toy

Cool looking Camaro!
Super-Macro is an amazing building tool to look at the details of your own work.
I'm trying to build a car for 4-gear stock. Are braids allowed for that class?
