Hey Fellow Racmate's are your Rails looking like these 🤪 Fin Hope ours don’t go up in flames like many of those! What are the little scoop/sensors on top of the bodies near the front of the dragsters.

Not sure what that is in front of the dragster, could be a camera. I have had a few slot cars smoke up a storm, but I never had one go up in flames.

What are the little scoop/sensors on top of the bodies near the front of the dragsters. Bill those little scoops are the vents for the fuel tank. Supposed to add extra pressure to the fuel tank at Hi-speeds. If you notice after the burnout they pull tape off the scoop. If you don’t put the tape on it leaks fuel out that vent. And if the guy in charge of removing that tape forgets it will be ugly. Sometimes they will also create a vacuum or something at the top end and in pictures you can see the vapor streaming out that scoop/vent. Which usually means a face full of Nitro.

Thanks for your insights Rick! We just got an education in top fuel dragsters. Would have never guessed what it was for.

Adam would you please sign me up for two in each Class. I'm trying to get two custom dragsters done in time. Waiting on number two to show up along with a new DR-1 chassis. Clock is ticking.....

Mazda and weissach you're in. Dave looking good. Like most people I've always wanted a 1st gen camaro but that's the only one I haven't had yet.

Good looking cars Dave! This is a slot car weekend for me. Trying to get ahead for the race. I missed out on Skillet's. Expecting another dragster body and a Stock DR-1 today from Jag. This is dragster #1 that Skillet sent to me. It is in primer and will get some paint today. This one got a motor swap. Already getting pumped for the race.

I am sure your Dragster will look fantastic Jeff; your body work is worlds better than mine. I had a 67 SS 350 4 speed Camaro many moons ago. Of course, I modified it with one of the Holly 3-barrel carbs and intake, + headers, Cam. It ran low 13s with the 10" slicks hitting the fender well. It had run 108 with smaller tires and 90 with the taller tires which expanded at speed. I was lucky it did not cut the tire in half.
