Classes will be:
Stock = Any stock Tyco chassis, HP7, Curve hugger, 440 etc. Plastic or cast type bodies only, max rear tire size .470. Drag, muscle car bodies preferred. Tyco Stock = Any stock Tyco chassis, HP7, Curve hugger, 440 etc. Stock gearing, brush's, armatures, pickups, motor magnets, traction magnets. Max tire .470. A pretty low cost to run class. Super Stock = minimum 5.7 ohm arm, ceramic magnets, braids OK, shunts OK, any gearing, max tire .610, any traction magnets, stacked OK. A request was made for a Tyco speed and ET record. If you want to join in welcome. Drag or muscle car bodies preferred, but if all you have is something else you can still run. 2 traction magnets. Wheelie bars recommended. Minimum weight 21 grams in stock, 19 in SS. I am not that worried about traction magnets. Let's not get rule happy here. Remember this is supposed to be something we do for fun. MY track has dynamic braking for 3', steel stop strips for 3' + catch box with foam and towels when needed. 15.5', 1000' 1/64 scale, running at 20 volts all classes. 2 cars per class, no limit on record attempt cars. 3 attempts per car PSO and 4GO list races will be held after the event. Dave, Is the speed & ET record portion a 'no holds barred, run what ya brung' type thing? Sounds interesting.

Dave Question, in super stock it says 5.7 ohm arm minimum. Does that mean 5.7 and below/less or 5.7 ohm and above? JW

Anything 5.7 and above. Most Tyco arms measure in the 6.0 + range, I just allowed a little leeway.

Just a word about the unlimited Tyco's. I built a 440 chassis using the supposedly stiff black chassis and found the chassis to be too flexible. Smoked the pinion gear in less than half the track. I built a brace which corrected the problem. I installed it on top of the chassis, it's made out of thin brass sheet. It is glued to the top of the chassis. 440 brace
