I think AW nailed the look of the Blue Max Mustang, but I'm let down by the Jungle Jim Camaro. The hood looks too short and the greenhouse too far forward to my eye -- proportions look more like a stock body than a 1970s Funny Car.
Of course, that probably won't prevent me from buying both (after the prices come down from the stratosphere)!

Am I the only one that thinks AW has got to get new sculptors? When I look at how all their cars look like cartoon-mobiles and they can't seem to get proportions right at all, its danged hard to shell out my cash when aurora (30-40 years ago) did better work than these guys. Jeez we have 3d printers now and plenty of easy ways to be precise and still this is the product. What gives???!!!

Does anybody know how long the new Mega G chassis has been out? Just tried ordering a 1.5 & 1.7 and got told ...... I want the old.chassis. Ordered a new one to.
New chassis that came has small can mtr & a circuit board. Apparently slot cars make to much noise in California ! ........
Both new & old chassis seem about the same....... when starting or launching. Gotta get both to Doug's one day to compare. New chassis is far quieter. Much smother operating......
Motor in new.chassis is small, about the size of a fat peanut. Not much larger than the arm in 1/64 inlines (excluding LL-T). So rip out the circuit board right ? NO !.DON'T DO IT !
Remove pick-up shoes & springs first ! Shoe hanger (also contact for pick-up spring) is soldered to the circuit board which is soldered to the contracts on motor. In effect making it soldered to motor. Use small screw driver and pry motor up ar rear of housing......... motor , circuit board , shoe hangers will lift up and come out of chassis.
Completely removing circuit board. Would.mean shoe hanger ...... after removed from the circuit board would have to be installed back into chassis. Wires would have to be conected to these and brush contacts on motor. Maybe glued into chassis.
Looks like bypassing circuit via two jumper wires easiest quick fix. Then reinstalling as it was. Fix is probably not a good word..... don't know what it will do yet. But got out soldering iron.
Get back after testing at Doug's.

Is that circuit board really for noise. I always thought California's liberal govt. was useless but this is really going overboard if you are not kidding.

Hey Dave, Been told that is what circuit board is for , noise. Can't see what else its possibly for. With bypass jumpers and reassembled. Car hit fingers at end of track hard this time. Launching like a beast.now with stock tires.
Motor looks like shrunk down version of what is.in the Artin 1/43 cars. Brushless type, never saw mtr this size rated for over 6 or 7 volts. Those are usually larger in size. Telling you my fingets hurt right now....... lol.

Peter, The printed circuit board on the new Mega G+ has a filter network on it to minimize any noise spikes coming off of the brushes. It is not a brush less motor. It is one of the newer FF series can motors. Putting shunts around the PCB filter network will give you a little more gas. I have one torn down now and will do a rewind of the armature this weekend!

When I ran RC cars I would put a small electrolitic capacitor across the brushes and it would smooth out the motor. You could see the difference on a scope and hear a small increase in rpm. No room to try it with these cars.

Alan, Thanks for info.......... what is a.FF motor ? Jeez there's brushes in that little thing. Bypassing circuit with jumpers or shunts. Opened.cage door. Two completely different cars in minutes.
Have you pulled motor apart yet ........ I'm scared, it's so little....lol.
