How do you guys mount resin bodies on the Aurora specialty 4-gear chassis? I'm trying to get one ready for 4-Gear Nostalgia FC race, but I'm stumped on the best way to make mounts, since my Aurora chassis doesn't have AFX-style side tabs like the Auto World reproduction. It looks like I can use a body post up front, but how did they attach at the rear?
Any advice and pics would be much appreciated!
Thanks, Rick V.

Try taking a piece of thick plastic and make you a plate that you can glue into the body. Make it like half of an H pattern. Use your dremel to widen it so the chassis will fit tight inside the uprights. The plate fits right in front of the rear wheeels where the chassis narrow's. Here's an S-10 body I cast, but it's using the above method. The front screw post will usually hold the body on. This is bascially how the old four gear chassis were held in place on the bodies. I'm sure there are different methods that others use...RM

Here's a better pic with the chassis in place . Mine are a little more beefier than the orignal AFX posts. The origianl just add 2 upright pins more or less that held the chassis in place. As I said, I would make them a snug fit, then the front screw post will hold the body on, same as the originals...If the rear glass becomes a problem on some bodies, just make the plate wider and glue it to the body sides, leaving room on top of the plate, to slide your glass in...RM
