Racers, Time to load those Nostalgia Funny Cars and Nostalgia Pro Stocks into the transporters and head for the California coast. The one (and only) test 'n' tune for the upcoming NTRA Manufacturer's Championship will be held on May 8. You must send your entries to arrive by May 7 to participate in the test 'n' tune session. Include $7 for return postage for up to four entries (2 NF/C, 2 NP/S). If you want insurance and/or special handling, be sure to specify and include the additional USPS fees. Mark your entry numbers clearly on your cars, include your return address, and send any pre-run instructions. Ship to: Rick Voegelin 2130 Hames Rd. Aptos, CA 95003 Phyllis the Mail Lady and Al the UPS Guy are standing by. And, of course, so is Lions pit reporter Aurora Divine. She just loves the Funny Cars.

Hey Rick - Just recently got involved with Nitroslots. Have two N/PS almost ready for race, if I can still enter. Parts on way along with some 4-gear chassis. Is there a deadline for entering, if so when? And how do I go about entering? ............thanks PC

But, the earlier you can register the better for the Track Master to prepare for the event. Registration is simply posting that you want in as you have done above. With that I will pen you in for two N/PS. For the Manufacturers' Funny Car Challenge, you will need to post or PM to me the body(s) you will be using so you can be placed with the proper team. Welcome to the race! Ninjatek NTRA Race Coordinator

Ninja - Thanks for the info and numbers. One body will be a 65' GTO the other a 68' Chevelle( the one I spoke to you about being a gasser swithing over will be quicker way of doing things, hope it fly's with gas tank where grill was ). Do numbers have to be any special size or repetitve. Will they work on windshield aka shoe polish. Still waiting on parts, and paint to dry on GTO. Wish I was as good as I was 40 years ago with spray paint. Guess Iv'e gotten impatient. Or forgot how the stuff can run. The photos I've seen posted on here look fantastic. Gonna take some practice before I come close. ..............PC

Ok Rick. I got them out before the PO closed. With 10 minutes to spare lol. You should have it tomorrow by 3 pm. Instruction in the box along with return label and enough for sending it back priority with insurance. What I did was mounted them in cubes cause the paint isn't fully dry yet. So the body doesn't touch anything. You will have to pop the bodies off to release the wires that hold em down. Sorry bout that but I wanted to have you test them. The wheelie bar for my NP/S 70 BuickGS is taped inside the cube on the background cardboard insert. You can't miss it. Thanks and looking forward to seeing some results!!!!

I use a method suggested by SKR, taking the paper circles made with a hole punch and writing the number on it. Then clear tape it to the chassis.

Oh boy. I didn't number the actual cars, just the cases they are in. My bad.
I will make the adjustment for the race.

Hi Rick, glad it showed up. Could you just get them out of their cubes as to not put any flat spots on my tires???

I found that useing the round color stickers, or ANY "lable" sticker works. I use a regular one hole hand punch and punch out a circle. Then I took the backing off and stuck it to the chassic, then used a fine tip felt marker ( sharlie ) and wrote my number on it.
