Looks like the rest of the haulers are pulling into Desert Run Raceway. Coming through the gate first is kbuck with his pristine 71 Plymouth GTX, now there's some Heavy Metal. Just as the dust settles from kbuck Suka What? Oh it's sukafish coming in. Is that like you can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish, so much for the lame humor its been a long day. Suka fish has a great pair of Camaros on the back of his hauler. Holy Toledo it's a convoy of hauler heading in. Looks like the Sheldon Crew has made its way in. First in is SuperCoop's pair of 70 Camaros, now that's a great looking duo. Not far behind SuperCoop is MadKat's hauler with another fantastic pair of Camaros. Looks like this crew been hanging out with the Chevy boys. And last but not least is mattsheldon the Ring Leader. His hauler was covered when it pulled in and we were expecting to see another pair of Chevy's but leave to Crew Chief he fooled us all with a pair Buick Grand Nationals. Looking out over the horizon we don't see any more dust trails from approaching haulers. Were still waiting for tazman52186 to pull-in so we will keep the lights on a little longer.

Calling all Owners to the King of the Street PRE-RACE MEETING. Turn out is great with only one hauler left to pull-in. As of 5:00 pm PST we have a total of 18 Drivers and 34 cars, we have 2 drivers with 1 entry. We did lose 2 Owners due to mechanical problems, I hope all is well with the drivers and cars. With less than 24 hours to go I wanted to review the race format for Saturday and Sunday. Racing will start at 10:30 am PST. All cars will make one pass in each lane during the Qualifying rounds and all ET’s will be recorded for each. Owners with 2 entries, the quickest of your 2 cars will advanced to the A Main Race on Sunday. The Owners with 1 entry … your cars will also advance to the A Main Race on Sunday . All of the others cars will be entered into the B Main Race. If time permits the B Main Race will be held Saturday Afternoon just after the completion of the Qualifying rounds. If the Qualifying rounds run too late on Saturday, the B Main will be ran on Sunday morning before the A Main. Racing will start at 10:30 am PST on Sunday. With 19 cars advancing to the A Main we will use a 19 Car Single Elimination Ladder. This way there will be no Buy-Runs throughout the race. The B Main will have 17 cars entered and we will utilize a 17 Car Single Elimination Ladder. Again this eliminates any Buy Runs. See Ladders below for Ladder Format. If you have any questions or comments on the race format, please PM me before 9:30 a.m. PST Saturday. A MAIN LADDER B MAIN LADDER

Hey Tazman, we are 3 hours behind you, when you posted it was 6:30 am PST out west. I set your cars to be the last pair to run in qualifying so that should give them plenty of time to get checked in.
Good Luck

GOOD MORNING RACE FANS!!!!!!!!!
It's a great looking day at Desert Run Raceway temperatures are expected in the low 100's with possible thunder showers but at track level it's a pleasant 78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.
The Proxy Drivers are starting to show-up and getting a few practice runs in using some of the local cars.
The pits are a buss with motors revving and wrench's flying. I love the smell of Racing Fuel in the morning.
Just a little over an hour the Grand Stands are starting to fill-up and our first pair to match-up are in last minute preparations.
Stay Tuned for the first race.

The time has arrived and the cars are lined up and ready to race. 1st up 79 Malibu with his orange Corvette and Flamed Nomad. The orange Corvette leaves first and holds the advantage all the way to the finish with a 1.960 et to the Nomad's 2.090 et. The cars switched lanes and again the orange Corvette grabs the lead and holds it with a 2.093 et to a 2.220 for the Nomad. The 2nd pair pulled to the line with Kbuck with his gold GTX and Camel with his blue Javlin. The Javlin takes off like a rocket and blows away the Gold GTX with a 1.276 et to Kbuck's 1.523. The cars switched lanes and again, the Javlin looks like a shot out of a cannon with a 1.396 et to the GTX's 1.758. Next pair to the starting line is Jim Russell with his Red White and Blue Challenger and his Yellow Challenger. The lights drop and the Yellow Challenger has the drop at the start and the Red White and Blue Challenger comes off the track into the grass! The Yellow Challenger finishes up with a 1.198 et with a blistering 14.20 mph to the Red White and Blue's disappointing 5.056 et. The cars switched lanes and the Red White and Blue Challenger is looking for a little redemption. He takes the light, but the Yellow Challenger is just too much. The Yellow Challenger ends up with a 1.273 et to a 1.158 for the Red White and Blue. x.co/mzu3 [/img] After a little track clean up with the misshap in the last race, PCENG brings his Green Nomad and his white 55 Chevy to the line. The Green Nomad takes the late and the advantage all the way to the finish with a 1.412 et to the Chevy's 2.007 et. They switch lanes and this time the White Chevy has the hot foot and leaves before the Green Nomad and holds the lead all the way to the finish with a 1.490 et to the Green Nomad's 1.870 et. WAZZER lines up with his 2 good looking Corvettes. These guys are neck and neck at the light and all the way down the track with the Red Corvette taking the advantage at the end with a 1.500 et to the Copper Corvette's 1.588. They swithced lanes and again both of them take off together and it looks like the Copper Corvette's having a little problem with traction. The Red Corvette blows by with a 1.467 et to the Copper's 1.921 et.

Next up to the line is sj racer and his blue corvette and police car. Looks like the cops are out for blood with a quick light and a blast of power at the finish line with a 1.280 to the Corvette's 1.548. The police are back to the line in a hurry, while the Corvette takes its time staging. The lights drop, and the police are out in a hurry / but wait, halfway down the track the cops lose it, and roll the car over the center line. The Corvette drives around him and takes the win with with a 1.700 et to the police DQ or should we say, DOA. x.co/mzwk [/img] After the clean up crew cleared the track, nosubfor3 lined up his Firebird and GTX. The Firebird gets out quick, but the GTX is just too much for it and passes it at half track. The GTX crosses the finish line with a 1.353 et to the Firebird's 1.548. The cars switched lanes, the lights drop and it's all GTX to the end. The GTX ends up with a 1.375 to the Firebird's 1.700. Next up to the line is JJWallace with his Black Camaro and Black Corvette. These boys are ready for business when the lights drop and they're neck and neck pass the 60' mark. In a close race, it's the black Camaro at the finish line with a 1.113 et at 14.20 mph to the Corvette's 1.255 et. The cars line up again, the lights drop and again these two are neck and neck almost to the halfway mark in the track. The Camaro prevails once again with a 1.202 et to the Corvette's 1.379 et. x.co/mzxl [/img] Eagle Racing brings a pair of 55 Chevys to the staging lines. The engines are revving and they're off! This pair of Chevys is fighting it out all the way down the track with the Black Chevy just pulling out a 1.091 to the Red Chevy's 1.126 et. Back at the line again, the Black Chevy has the advantage at the start and holds that advantage all the way to the finish. The Black Chevy crosses the line at 1.052 et to 1.167. Next up to the line is TGM2054. I remember a couple of days ago a post I saw by TGM, that he thought he had forgotten to do something to his cars. Well we found out what it was! The two Challengers lined up and when the lights dropped, the Blue Challenger was stuck in reverse and backed into the wall! Luckily, we had an expert wrench on hand and he fixed the problem. So, with the re-run of the first match I guess that backing into the wall knocked some sense into the drive and he pulls out a 1.227 et to the Orange Challenger's 1.4750 et. The cars switch lanes and the Blue Challenger makes sure he is NOT in reverse and they are ready to go. The lights come down and the Blue Challenger charges out to a lead that he does not give up. At the finish line it's the Blue Challenger with a 1.412 et to the Orange Challenger's 1.758.

After a quick lunch break, we are ready to rock and roll again! First up is Mattsheldon with his pair of Grand Nationals. The Silver Buick gets the jump at the light, but about half track, the Blue Grand National walks away with the race. It's a 1.597 et for the blue Buick to a 1.693 for the Silver. Back at the line again, just like the last race, the silver Buick gets the jump at the light, but this time holds onto it all the way down the track. The silver Buick turns in a 1.573 to the blue Buick's 1.741. Next up is Madkat with a pair of good looking Camaros. The cars are staged, the lights drop, and the Purple Camaro can't get off the line. The local wrench takes a look at the car, does a quick fix, and it's back to the starting line to re-run. The lights drop again, and the Orange Camaro is out in a flash and holds a comanding lead all the way to the end turning in a 1.298 et to the Purple Camaro's 1.970. Back up at the line for the 2nd run and the Orange Camaro is out and firing down the track turning in a 1.356 et to the Purple Camaro's 1.940. Seems like the Purple Camaro is having alot of engine trouble today. Look at that puff of smoke at the line! Supercoop pulls the line with another pair of Camaros. The Green Camaro wins the battle at the light, but it's the Yellow Camaro that crossed the finish line first with a 1.420 et to the Green Camaro's 1.577. Back at the starting line once again, the Green Camaro has the jump, but the Yellow Camaro has the top end. It crosses the finish line first with a 1.335 to the Green Camaro's 1.681. Our next pair of entries are from Ninjatek. He lines up with a Silver Grand National and a Red Charger. The red Charger is out first and holds onto the finish line turning in a 1.443 et to the Buick's 1.697. Back at the starting line, the Charger is having trouble hooking up during the burn outs. It keeps going sideways. I sure hope Ninjatek can keep this thing on the track. The lights come down, the Charger is out first again, spinning and going sideways, but Ninjatek holds it together and crosses the finish line with a 1.502 to the Buick's 1.662. Rolling up to the line now is a pair of Camaros entered by Sukafish. I just love saying "sukafish"! The dark blue hammers the light and keeps the lead all the way to the end running a 1.187 et while the light blue camaro spins its tires and turns in a 1.333. Back at the starting line, again the dark blue Camaro is out in a flash, but the light blue Camaro hooks up this time and it's a close finish with the dark blue finishing with a 1.220 et to the light blue 1.291. Next up is a couple of Mopars entered by eddiebee. They roll up to the staging line and the red Challenger cuts a great light and holds the lead to the end crossing the finish line with a 1.211 to the red Charger's 1.333. Back at the starting line, the lights drop, the red Charger spins its tires and the red Challenger bolts down the track turning in a 1.205 et to the red Charger's 1.320. The next to the last pair to come up to the line is Slotfather with his Challenger and General Lee Charger. They both leave the light together and it's a photo finish at the end with both cars turning in a 1.333 et. That's a HELL OF A race! They bring them back to the line and again, it's a dead heat from the start line all the way to the finish line and the General Lee just nudges out the Challenger with a 1.362 et to a 1.366. Here is our final pair for Qualifying! Tazman052186 just pulled his hauler in less than a half hour ago, dropped his cars, and has them at the line. The Grand National takes the light and it's a back and forth race all the way to the finish line with the Grand National taking it with a 1.756 et to the Nomad's 1.870. They bring them back to the line. Looks like the Nomad may be limping a little, but it's ready to go. They hit the gas and it's all Grand National to the finish line. The Grand National turns in a 1.749 et to the Green Nomad's 1.958. That concludes the qualifying round for the King of the Streets Race! We are going to work on setting up the B Bracket and it looks like we will have time to run the B Main this afternoon. See you in a few!
