Well RACERS, the King of the Streets is only a few days away and the haulers are starting to line up at the entrance to Desert Run Raceway. First to arrive is SJRACER with his Corvette & Police Car? Who invited the POLICE to a street race? Oh, I see, we're just giving a little recognition to the local authorities. We'll let them have their fun too. Next to roll through the gates is PCeng with a pair of beautiful Chevys. Nice bit of Nastalgia PC. Can't wait to see them run! Right behind PCeng is Nosubfor 3. Looks like he's broken out some of the Mopar Muscle with his satelite and is going to let the birds loose with his Firebird. Talk about breaking out some Mopar muscle, Jim Russell is coming through the gate with a couple of outrageous Challengers! And Last, but not least for the haulers pulling in today Wazzer decided he's going to break out a pair of 57 Corvettes. They look like they belong in a Dealership Show Room. But, I know better. Those bad boys have got some power under their hoods! Well ... looks like that's it for today. Check back tomorrow and see who pulls through the gates at Desert Run Raceway, your home of the King of the Streets Race!

Desert Run Raceway welcomes the next contender to the King of the Streets Race, eddiebee's hauler rolls in with 2 good looking Dodges. The Charger and Challenger look like they mean business, this is going to be one hell of a race. Looks like Chevy and Dodge are well represented at the race. Where are all those Fords hiding out at.

I know some real high performance Cop Cars out there and matter a fact there is a 90's Camaro Funny Car that is painted like a Los Angeles Police Car. Take off the Light Bar and it's just another car. I have no problem with running the Cop Car I think it's ironic to see a Cop Car at any Drag Race. Just my thoughts, would any one else like to weight in on this?

If the body is going to create a problem, you can take the bar off or could you please replace it with the other Corvette body?

I think if it had working light it would be cool to see a video of it chasing some of the cars down the track and or the leading the pack and blowing the doors off the other car.

Good evening from Desert Run Raceway, as the sun starts to set here in the west a few more haulers have made the long and tiring trip. First through the gate this evening is jjwallace and his Corvette and Camaro, these boys are a little dusty from the trip but raring to go. Pulling in next is slotfather with the boys from Dukes of Hazard and the General Lee Charger and a beautiful Challenger. I hope the boys from Dukes of Hazard don't start no trouble or we could have a interesting race with them and the Police. Just like a warm desert breeze ninjatek appears out of no where with his stealthy Charger and Buick. How does he do it first he's not there and then he is? ? Not far behind ninjatek camel pulls up with his,I can't believe it, a AMC Javelin. I haven't see one of these in years at lest in running condition. This is definitely a treat fro the crowd. Check back tomorrow for more update.

I have no problem with the police car. I remember back in High School being blown away in a race with a retired 4 door cop car with an Interceptor motor in it. That thing was fast.

Well with a little less than two day before the Big Event the haulers are still lining up at the gates of Desert Run Raceway. First through the gates today is eagleracing and two mean looking 55 Chevy's, but wait there's more. Looks like Santa Clause came along a brought some good looking Race Give-Aways. These goodies are going to make for some happy racers. Right on eagle's tail, no pun intended, is TGM2054 and his sweet looking Camaro and Challenger. These boys look like there ready to ruuumble. Lastly we have a mystery hauler that pulled in. Can't tell who these cars are from there's no race entry numbers on the cars and the name on the hauler and all the paper work don't match any names on the entry list. If anybody can identify these cars please notify the Officials at Desert Run Raceway of the Race Entry Numbers and the name of the Owner as posted on the Entry List. Looks like the rest of the haulers have pulled off the road for a good night sleep and they will be ready to make that last dash for Desert Run Raceway in the morning. One last thing we did have a couple of semi's pull-up today filled with Race Give-aways and we want to give a huge shout-out to Jag Hobbies and Hair Canary Slot car Bodies and Decals for their contributions of race give-aways.
