I agree...almost all of my tips have come from Nitroslots. I also have a good teacher in Eagleracing when I need to ask questions. Here are some pics of the pliers and how I use them. I use the pliers when I have to move the axle from left to right so as not to distort the gear. Otherwise I push from the right like I said. These are medical grade pliers, but any type can be used. I used a Dremel with cutting wheel and a small drill bit.

Last pics of my finished FED. 1st time attempting engine detail. I'm happy with results, but still needs improvement.

Thanks for the pictures JJ this looks like a excellent way of installing and adjusting the Crown Gear. Did you heat up and hammer the ends of the needle nose pliers to make the tips broader?

No...they were that way when I got them. Which kind of made them perfect for this application. If I didn't have them I probably would have used some needle nose and ground them a little flatter before notching and drilling.

Thanks Peter. It's coming along well. Yes the F.E.D.'s are definitely on the ticket. You can build anything you want for that race can motor or pancake. It's all good. I will make a formal announcement on the sign in thread when it opens.
