Street Final Sukafish and his orange Camaro vs Darius and his Gran Torino.
This was a good race but the win and title go to the fastest car all day..........sukafish. Darius got out first, but deslotted at about 1/4 track and he goes home with a second place. Not too shabby for a rookie. 1.122 is the winning time.
Congratulation Sukafish 2013 Battle for the Crown Street Champion!!

Pro Street Final Darius and his silver Corvette vs Kiwidave and his black Corvette.
Darius gets the holeshot and never looks back. Kiwidave came a long way for this race and gave it a great effort, but comes up a little short. Thank you for sending your cars. Winning time 1.081 to a losing 1.137.
Congratulations Darius 2013 Battle for the Crown Pro Street Champion!!

Doorslammer Final Slotfather and his Tire Kingdom Pontiac vs Escamillachicks and their "pretty in pink" Camaro.
This was our surprise of the finals. But we all know how things go in racing ( I certainly do after today...lol ) and that is that you just never know what to expect. Escamillachicks cut a good light and slotfathers driver was late. That equals a big win for the rookie escamillachicks. Slotfather was strong all day and takes home a second place. .401RT/.846ET to a losing .515RT/.818ET.
Congratulations Escamillachicks 2013 Battle for the Crown Doorslammer Champion!!

Well......that's a wrap for the Battle of the Crown! I hope everyone enjoyed the race because we did. We did good to honor everyones car care requests and thanks to all racers for trusting us with your cars. We handled them as if they were made of glass and will continue to until they are safely in their boxes.
We still have a little unfinished business to take care of and that would be a Doug412 vs Ninjatek Doorslammer grudge match and we are going to give Pceng's F.E.D. a little track time. These results will be posted in the Eliminations thread. Thanks again to all the racers!!

Congratulations to the winners in all classes. Thanks JJ and crew for a great race. My cars were not prepped well, I should have taken more time with them. Time to get ready for the Finals.

Congrats to all the winners! WOW !!! Two rookies Escamillachicks and Darius win there first races. Sukafish wins his first race. JJwallace Door Slammer Fords were there, but it was not to be. Just goes to show you that anything can happen in racing. The Escamillachicks qualified 8th and won! I'm not sure but they may be the first females to win an NTRA race, very cool .

It is now the day after the race and my brain hurts! I was in building automation training all last week and then rolled right into race weekend. Information overload for sure. I am pleased with the way the race went. We are getting better at this and fine tuning as we go. I/we will definitely be running more races in 2014. I want to once again Congratulate all of our class winners! First time winners across the board. The competition certainly stepped up. We had some awesome racing. I want to thank the Eagle for all his help and drivers for doing a great job. Have to be honest...my (2) Doorslammers getting eliminated like they did stung bad for about an hour then the pain went away.......a little....lol. As we all (should) know and realize...that is racing. As a builder, attention to detail is imperative and as a driver, total concentration is imperative as well. Neither one is 100% all of the time. Awesome cars and weekend of racing!! I want to again thank all of the builders for entrusting us with your cars!! I will be packing things up and dividing prizes today and tomorrow and will have them in the mail by Tuesday. Thank you to our sponsors NTRA (Cordell), Boneyard Racing (darius), Eagleracing (Robert), and Angry Jeff Racing. Also want to mention Tjetsgrig for building a hot pancake motor for me to give away on a last minute basis. Angry Jeff purchased it and he built it. Thank you sir!
Next up " The Curse of the Hearse " See everyone there.

Hey all,
Loved the racing the past two days, maybe the most competitive event. That I've seen anyways. Thanks again to the crew in Euless, all the racers and our sponsors.
Congratulations to all the winners. Looks like someone was pulling legs before this one about armatures. I'm laughing about the PM I thought might help.
