3rd one down kind of looks like a 39 mercury.

Flat that's what Peter was talking about. I think both of you are correct. I think it is a 39 mercury zephyr. The zephyr looks a little different than a regular sled (mercury eight) it is pointed in the rear where the eight is rounded. Also rear flares are pointed on the zephyr.

Agreed, i built a 56 mercury chop top, flat black with red stock rims and white walls, red leather interior. It was a nice machine too bad it wasnt mine i would have loved to keep it.

Actually guys, that car is not a Zephyr. It is, in fact, a '49 Caddy full custom. It's owned by Barry Weiss, from the "Storage Wars" reality show. Can't remember who built it, but I'm sure I can find out.

I know this thread is over a year old but the actual car is a 1947 "Cowboy Cadillac" built by Frank DeRosa. I started looking at some pictures and the front fenders on a '49 are different.
