hey guys I have a question do any of you guys run the slot dragon system? I want to throw my hat in the ring and hold some races and would like to buy the slot dragon system because I cant afford the trackmate. I am wondering if I run t-jets at 13.8 and slightly modified cars at 18 will it work. I have a adjustable power supply 0-30 volts and it may not work for in-lines let me know thanks. mac

Yes! I run stock chassis at 13.8 and 4 gear Funny cars at 18 volts. Inlines, no problem! Lighting over the sensors has to be right. Florescent lighting gave me problems at first.

My Slot Dragon crapped out 1 day after the warranty period (which I think is now 90 days?) and I eventually just returned the thing. I liked it before it was no longer useable and I didn't want to put more $$$ into it.

Well, got the system set up today and it worked great but then I turned it off. When I came back to turn it on again and it wouldn't wake up. The set came with an extra ac adapter and I put the other one on and it fired right up. So I'll be very careful with that adapter in the future. But man it is cool to get the times for the cars and set up was pretty easy with good instructions.

Has anyone tried the newer system out??? Don't know what's different about it but the the previous model was a piece of junk. Performance was erratic. Dark colored cars often don't read even if you put the supplied stickers on the body. When I reached out to the makers for some tech assist got no results. The only plus would be that Summit would probably take it back if you're not satisfied.
