Chassis Build	Street AFX, JL and AW Magna/X-Traction	Nostalgia Funny Car Aurora & Auto World 4G/specialty Chassis
Tires/Wheels	Stock wheels only; Slip on replacements are allowed, No silicone foam tires allowed,.485" max diameter. Tires not to exceed stock wheel width.	Any slip on tire/wheel combination permitted. No double flanged wheels allowed.Tires max not exceed .550"
Gears	Factory stock gears only	Factory stock gears only
Armature	Stock mfg. No lower than 14.0 ohm resistance. Blue printing is permitted.	Stock mfg. No lower than 14.0 ohm resistance. Blue printing is permitted.
Motor Magnets	Ceramic magnets only. May be shimmed and glued in chassis.	Ceramic magnets only. May be shimmed and glued in chassis.
Chassis	Top plate must be the same as chassis mfg. Blue printing of top plate and chassis are permitted. Chassis & top plate cutting not permitted.	Top plate must be the same as chassis mfg. Blue printing of top plate and chassis are permitted. Chassis and top plate cutting not permitted.
Traction Magnets	Not allowed	Stock traction magnets are allowed. Maximum of two.
Electrical	Stock electrical or stock replacement allowed. Braids and shunts are not permitted.	Stock electrical or stock replacement allowed. Braids and shunts are not permitted.
Body	American street performance car bodies only manufactured by AW, JL or Aurora. No cutting to body mounts. Wheel wells may not be cut. No additional modifications allowed.	Only pre 1985 Funny car bodies allowed. Bodies must be made of plastic or resin. Front and rear windows required.
Miscellaneous	No wheelie bars. Ballast may be used, not to be visible from the outside of body.	No functioning wheelie bars allowed. Ballast may be used, not to be visible from the outside of body.

Chassis Build Definitions

Stock Manufacturer; Part must be made by manufacturer as manufactured for type of chassis being used.

Chassis Cutting; to include sanding, drilling, modifications of any nature. Exception will be AW 4G chassis body mounts in classes that are applicable.

Readily Available; Newly developed parts must be readily available to the public 3 months before an event and must meet the approval of the NTRA.

Blue Printing; Polishing, de-burring, balancing. Excessive material may not be removed to lighten. Small cuts on armature lams for balancing purposes only.

Ok so I'm trying to get back into this again, after work has cooled down. I have cars built but ran into tire size issues. The tires I have are either to small or to large. What tires are some of you using for the stock AW and Aurora 4 gear rims???

Hey Vince good to see you back here. I assume you are wanting to run maximum size. I can't remember for sure but I think Jag S301's will get you there. Just made a tire order. I can confirm that for you in a couple of days if needed. The S301 and Jel Claw 2020 and 2080 on various size rims usually gets me where I need to be in most classes.

Thanks JJ. I think I I've the S301" s. My mic is set at.550 and will not clear the tire mounted on to rim. Maybe I did not order the S301. Will place another order for sure.

I will double check as well. You've got me wondering. This I do know. It is one of those three I listed gets it right to .550. I ordered all 3 sizes with this order so there should be no mix up.

OK so I got the tires. These are all Jel claws mounted on stock AFX/AW 4 gear rims. 2065=.525,2080=.550,2020=.555,.S301=.590

Excellent. I just unboxed my order I got today. S301 obviously too big. Your measurements are comparable to what I got. Thanks.
