Day two of the NTRA Pro Street Outlaw 3 is about to get started. Completely different day today. We had a cold front come through and brought rain and lower temps. A perfect day to be in the garage running some slot cars. Big PSO list shake up yesterday, but we are all still learning. I personally love the competition and the push to go faster that goes with it. Today will maybe see more of the same...redemption...who knows?? I will end the event with the Kiwi Challenge. Bragging rights are at stake! Can the NTRA racers hold off the Kiwi cars of Kiwidave, Ham1200, and the Hot Rod Boys?? The last Kiwi Challenge ended in a tie.......there will be no ties this day! Even number of Match races means a tie is possible. If that happens we will have a run off with the fastest car from each race team. Here is todays schedule.
Saturday's schedule: PSO 2nd round call outs and end with the Kiwi Challenge Match races #3 thru #8.
Time to get it on!!

This is the current list. Left to right #1 thru #5.
#1 JJWallace "Dream crusher", #2 SKR "Slayer", #3 Kiwidave "Villian", #4 Dave632 57 Nomad, #5 Nosubfor3 "Blue Silk"
Round two call outs: 1) Kiwidave calls out SKR for the #2 spot. It was going to be if SKR wins he calls out JJWallace for #1, but I will give either winner a shot at #1. Loser will drop to #3 spot. 2) Winner of the first call out (Kiwidave or SKR) takes on JJWallace for the #1 spot. 3) Dave632 calls out the loser of the first call out race (Kiwidave or SKR) for the #3 spot. 4) I have not heard from Nosubfor3, but I will put him up against whoever is holding the #4 spot before closing the round. The Corvette is fast and deserves a shot to get the spot back.
Hopefully I got all of that right. Kiwidave's Villian is the workhorse of the list cars for this event and could potentially run down the track 4 times before it's all done. Dave632's Nomad will have the most runs, but he had to work through the Shark Pool. Let's see how it all plays out..........

Hey Dave maybe Sam will allow a match race between your 55 Chevy and my Neon at his race. I do have a question for you are you running the BSRT P10 poly compression molded traction mags? I think that is what they are called, anyway which poly are you running? They measured around 1950 on BRP magnet matcher scale and mine are 850 (old poly mags had for years). So looks like I need to upgrade. Great build on the car very smooth, I dig it.

First PSO call out of Day 2 is Kiwidave vs SKR for the #2 spot. The Villian wants a rematch and the Slayer wants a run at #1. Cars have all been checked in the pits and are now at the line. Lights drop for the first race of the day and both cars launch. The Villian makes a strange noise at the hit and is slower to get off the line. The Mustang is long gone and stops the clock at a .753et. The Mustang seems to be slowing slightly. The Cuda has definitely slowed and has suffered a problem. He runs a much slower .948et. Due to the mechanical issues with the Villiain, call outs for the #3 spot will stop here for this event. Kiwidave will have an opportunity to fix the car for the next PSO event in Colorado.
Second PSO call out is SKR Slayer vs JJWallace Dream Crusher for #1 spot. After defending the #2 spot, SKR is ready for a shot at the top. These two Fords have met many times before and here we are once again! JJ just made it to the #1 spot and this is his first defense. The drivers are up on the wheel and they leave side by side. The Dream Crusher is out by 6 at the 1/8mi. mark and continues to pull through the traps. The Slayer slows a little more running a .764et and loses to JJ with an improved .665et. Dream Crusher successfully defends the #1 spot.

The PSO call out 3 for the #3 spot has been cancelled due to mechanical issues with Kiwidave's Villian. He will defend the spot at Pike's Peak Dragway in October.
PSO call out 4 I am running on behalf of Nosubfor3. I have not heard from him, but felt he should be able to try to get the spot back that Dave632 took. The Blue Silk Corvette is definitely a force and just needs to hook up off the line. The Nomad is ready to get this done and stages first. Blue Silk is in no hurry and makes him wait. They stage and they're gone. This is a repeat of the first race but in opposite lanes. The Corvette spins at the hit and the Nomad jumps out to the early lead, but by half track the Corvette has gathered itself up and is coming on hard. Once again.....just not enough real estate. Both cars improve their times but the Nomad gets it done this day. A .694et beats the slightly slower .707et. The spots remain the same. These two cars put up the best list races of the weekend!
This is a PSO bonus match race that puts Dave632's Farm Truck against the now #1 Dream Crusher Mustang of JJ's. This should be good! We have not seen the truck run yet this weekend so it's a mystery as to what it will do. Both cars stage and slam the pedal to the floor when they see yellow. What a drag race....the cars stay side by side shifting back and forth all the way down the track. It's the Mustang by a half a car. The Dream Crusher is living the dream today and seems to be getting faster with each pass down the track and runs a .659et. The truck was no slouch at all putting down a solid .665et. A great race to end this meeting of the NTRA Pro Street Outlaws.

They are not crazy strong like the neos but do an adequate job. Looking forward to future match ups.

Looks like my races with Nosub were nail biters. Same with Farm Truck and Dream Crusher, good race. I always like those close ones. Here is a close one at my track: These 2 55s were only .004 apart at the finish.

Good luck to all in the final match races.

Those 55's are sweet. I like the close ones too. Just had one in the Kiwi Challenge with a WM .003. Great race.

Thanks Dave! Yes the I'm well aware of the target that comes with #1. I can hardly wait till the next race in Colorado. I'm liking the progression of the class. These cars were flying.

All the racing is complete and it's time to post. I will say.......this was a nail biter! Could not have been scripted any better! And we got an extra Match race because of it. So let's get to it...........does the Crown go to the New Zealand Team or the NTRA Team??
MATCH 1: Ham1200 Silver Bullet vs Nosubfor3 USA #1 Camaro Race 1 The Camaro jumps out to an early lead and puts 3 on the Bullet right out of the hole. That was too much to make up and the Camaro takes the first win. 1.012et win / 1.049et lose Race 2 Cars switch lanes. The lights drop and once again the USA #1 Camaro launches off the line, but this time the Silver Bullet has a top end charge. Close race! Win goes to the Camaro. .993et wins / 1.000et lose
NTRA 1 / NZ 0
MATCH 2 NZ Freightliner F/C (stock) vs Nosubfor3 Monza NF/C Race 1 Freightliner crew seems to be having some trouble getting the car staged. The Monza pulls in and puts the pressure on. Freightliner is in and they leave hard. The Freightliner car gets out first and commands the strip taking the win. The Monza had the higher mph, so he was coming. Let's see if they can get him off the line better. 1.094 win / 1.113 lose Race 2 Cars stage and the lights drop. The Freightliner car is out again on the Monza, but it got off the line better and is reeling in the New Zealand car. Wow!! What a great race. Best of the day! WM .003 and the win goes to N.Z and the Freightliner F/C. Good job! 1.140et win / 1.142et lose
NTRA 1 / NZ 1
