I was wondering how you like the slot dragon timing, i purchased one in december and i dont care for it because as soon as you stage the cars all six amber lights come on and stay on than after a few seconds the green lights come on.

Track looks good, 1/64 eighth mile? The Slot Dragon does start once the cars are staged. It should be a random start of the pro tree, before the tree flashes all three yellows then green, of between 1-3 seconds if I remember right. The tree itself is a .4 tree. You can also switch between the bracket tree and the pro tree. Use the bracket tree, which uses 3 .5 lights before the green comes on, if you need more time. Some of the older Slot Dragon systems did not vary the timing at the start, this was corrected a couple of years ago.

Yes 1/8 mile for now till I get more room to make it a1/4 mile..... I got the extra piece stored. Still working on the track but will be done this week. Except for rest of landscaping.
Can't wait for people to come over and race if there is any one in MI. Paul

Paul if you cannot find any racers locally you can always hold a proxy race. Start small with 1 0r 2 classes and work on up. I have not found anyone locally to race with but my grandsons have finally taken some interest. Two times I gave them each a complete AFX chassis all apart in a bag and they assembled and raced them. They each have a collection of 8 cars now and of course they want all of my cars now.

Really nice looking track. You'll really get the bug once you have the timing gear working.

Dave is right, once you start to get times the urge to go quicker kicks in and it is addictive.

That's awesome Grandpa, Let them learn to build as they enter a lifelong hobby.
