I understand the mean green are legal, but they seem to be in short supply. What about the OS3 and dash arms?

Comet, are you referring to the 4 LAM 5 ohm Dash arm? If so, he has a 5.5 ohm 3 LAM arm now, I guess to compete against the OS3 5.5?

Dash makes a variety of arms in different ohm values. They do have a few advertised as 5 ohm that are actually around 4. There is a newer release that in the 5 to 5.5 ohm range.

I have pretty good luck with the os3 motors. All of 5.5 I have ohmed at 6 6.1 6.2 They get after it but I did hope to see something lower on my meter. Not to say my meter is correct. Im happy with the performance.

Thanks JJ for clarifying my original question.

OS3 and Dash are production arms. Sounds like those may be cutting it close on the minimum ohm allowed?? In three years I have bought 9 arms, three at a time. All of them showed the same each time. Pretty consistant would be my thought. Even if my meter is off +/- 3 points it still falls just fine within 5.5. The biggest tell is how quick and fast is the car. 5.5 +20 volts= X. I have seen 3 gear list cars dip into .52 .53 . Ceramic magnets and a os3 5.5 arm. .4 is not far away. When it does or quicker it would be worth a inspection. Not because of being suspect, but to make such a pass official, its going to be a Mile stone.

I think swiftkart is already hitting .501, multiple times in Skillet's last race. Amazing stuff.

.500 was an actual 6.2 ohm OS3 with poly magnets and 0 timing setup for Super Comp, add 10 to 15 degrees timing to a motor and 4's shouldn't be a problem. Comp, Gasser or List setup with ceramic magnets and a OS3 actual 6.3 ohm has a best of .52xx, 4's are in reach, but going to take a new build and setup to get there in Comp build spec's/rules.

We should run Steve's cars at 18v and everybody else at 20v.......LOL . The thing is, I still don't think that's near enough.....LMAO I just hit .57 with my car and was super happy! Obviously I'm just playing. The bar has been lowered and everybody has become faster for it.

We should see some very fast cars in all classes this weekend. I think you will see stock Tjet .79 20 mph+ at 18 volts. The last time, 4 gear list showed a .59 Steve .60 Finn and a bunch of .6 2345s. Four cars were up over 24mph. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Any way we can say somewhere hey guys look at the rules again. They seem to change and no one knows when. 2.4 inline was 2.5 when I started. Im Sure it got changed for the harden creek 2.4 viper arm. Brush barrels close I get is 2.7 ohm Pancake 5.5 ohm was changed to 5ohm. I made 5 ohm arms because of the rule change in super comp. Now it is just changed back. No good.
