Congratulations JET from a two time first round duck. I understand the ladder sheet program in the NoCo Dragway computer is different than a typical NHRA/IHRA/AHRA ladder sheet. So be it as it was the same for all. Weird a little, but the same. No problem to me even if I had to get beat by one of the Orlando racers and I'll have to put up with his stuff for ...ah...ever! Any of us could have qualified in a different position and ended up with a bye run, just like any of us could have ended up with a driver that slept on the line or red-lighted. At least we didn't run over a nail with a high dolllar slick on the return road after winning a round. Been there done that. That's racing and so is this. I'm happy to have such a cheap, fun, legal, hobby and hope we can continue on and improve things when problems are found. My hats are off to the whole St. Louis group for taking this on. Especially thanks to you Tim, for putting this on at your track and you too Kevin, for giving up the many hours that I know this took to produce. THANKS ALL!!

WOW! I actually made it past the first round??? Also nice to see that my Dodge actually ran faster than it did in ALL of the test runs. Looking at the card right in front of me! Congrats to Jet! ;D Maybe SOMEDAY my cars will run that good! As slow as mine tested, I was expecting to get crushed in the first round. It's REAL cool to see a pic of one of mine actually WINNING a race! LOL!!!! ;D Really anticipating tomorrow's update on the race! Ron (Bondo)

O yea... Thanks to Kdog and Tim for doing this. This is the very first HO race I have actually built ANYTHING for, altho I did 'play' with these cars when I was 10 or 12 years old (somewhere in there..a looooong time ago...lol). I had a LOT of fun building the cars, and look forward to any future races! Now I GOTTA get going on MY track! LOL Bondo

Forgot(been doing that more and more lately) to say thanks to the drivers who must have been under the gun to get that many cars warmed up and on the line in such quick order, great job. and to JET after all the CHEVY and MOPAR smack , a tiger was lurking to shut them both down ;D

Wow , first time to race and got a bye run in the first round . congrats to Jet for the win and thanks to Sam for all the help . If not for Sam's help the "Born in the USA" GTO would have been so slow it might have lost the bye run , LOL . Great race can't wait to see the full results . Shooter

How about a re-run of the Super Stock race while the Track owner still has the cars? With the strange bracketing ("He feels it makes for closer racing") and the computer problems, why not a re-run?
The racers that sent cars for the SS race spent time and money. It seems only fair that a proper race with appropriate bracketing should be held. Not a bracketing to "make for closer racing." Why not use the computer bracketing that I previously posted on this Bulletin Board?
If the races are going to be held in the future with bracketing to eliminate the top qualifiers in the first rounds to make for closer racing, maybe that should be placed in the rules. At least the racers will know that if they build a good car, they have a higher chance of being eliminated.
BTW: Great runs Tony Vourax! Congratulations.

It's being discussed and we should have an answer later on today. The only problem is Kdog has the cars in Illinoise and the track is at another location in St. Louis. If a rerun is ran then it'll have to be sometime in the next two weeks. We'd have Kdog keep the cars for now and then ship them back to all the guys after the race.
Let's hear from everyone in the race. Would you like to see the race be ran again because of the first round glitches? Note that the same track might not be available.

I call it racing luck, sure the computer glitch confused the brackets, but second time around a red light, parts breakage, trip and fall getting to line I'll go with what the vote says ,but count me as let it stand.

We've come to a decision to let this race stand. We're sorry for the first round glitches and didn't anticipate the problem. We all had to race under the same conditions that was dealt. I can understand the upsets as a few of the cars sent by our group was eliminated in the first round that probably would have advanced with the proper ladder system.
From now on we will not let a computer system setup the ladders for us. It'll all be done with pen and paper.
We appreciate everyone that participated and hope to see you all at the next event. Details will be posted soon. I'll say this, it's something your not going to want to miss.
