I will put this on the Match List. Just so I understand correctly it's 4g Stock build no traction magnets? What voltage?

I'm fair, but you can use braid if you chose. I'm not sure it's an advantage if we run the same voltage as we run in Skippack because you may be over powering the track. Weren't not running 4 gear rims but do the rear tires have to be aj's?

we ran all classes at 24 volts for our live races at Skippack. I think you would be better off running 20 volts for this challenge. it is up to you guys and Jeff.

ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!!
I haven't had the opportunity to do any race promoting lately but I thought I better put the word out. The race is coming up fast! We are now less than one month away and even less tuning time! I want to remind everyone of the current mailing issues or the potential for issues. DON'T RELY ON NEXT DAY OR 2 DAY SHIPPING!! I cannot stress that enough. Mail early! There will be no awards for the Top Procrastinator! It looks like there is going to be a great turnout with a lot of cars. I plan on lots of pictures and coverage so time will be of the essence. Race will start on Thursday October 1st. I would like to get an idea of how many Unlimited 4 gear cars that are going to make it to the race to see if there will be enough to make it a third Class. So let me know here on the Sign Up thread if ya'll could. Thanks!
So let's get the cars tuned up and on down to Texas for The NTRA Texas Nationals at Bear Creek Dragway!! It's going to be Epic!!

I will send my cars in soon, they are all ready. I will send in one 4G Unlimited which runs OK, I did not make a special top plate as others did but the stock gears held up with the low traction tires I put on it. This hurt ET some but the MPH was Ok hitting 30-34 MPH.

Jeff, looking doubtful at the moment for the 4gear Unlimited making it to the race. Still trying and can let you know for sure by the end of next week, or sooner. At this point in time, I wouldn't plan on it being there. 2020 has been full of surprises so not giving up yet .

I was looking forward to seeing what you come up with BUT.....I completely understand. 4g Unlimited is a very ambitious build and does not come without it's trials and errors. I will keep my fingers crossed anyway. I have had some trouble with the customer Unlimited I am building and haven't even tested my own cars yet. I blew the lower cluster solder joint just when I was starting to make some speed gains.....that's when the problems started. When soldering it back together my paper separators moved and I ended up with a blob of soldered brass . Had to get a better solder gun and separate everything and start over. Good thing is I have ended up with something that is smoother than the original. Today will be dedicated to finishing these cars up so I can get them out. Hope you find the time to throw something together. My best run was right out of the box with a .47.

Made a little bit of progress today but still way off the mark. My problem is getting the armature to spin fast enough to do some gear damage . Will keep trying .
On another note, got a couple Altered's that are getting closer to being ready.
And a new body for my PSO is getting closer, too. Gonna try to get some glass in this one.
Plan to ship by the 18th.

Here is my match race 4G Unlimited lil yeller banana dragster. I wound the arm myself to about to about 1 ohm. It screams a lot but I think it is eating the gears. First run was at 20v which it survived OK. Second run at 26v was only slightly quicker with lots of screaming but I don't think a lot of the power was getting to the track. Most of the ET improvement was in the last part of the track. This is ready and going to Jeff's race as it is. Notice that there is almost no improvement in the 60' despite the extra power. lil yeller banana 20v
