How many 2.4 motors have you guy's blown up getting ready for this next race? I'm in for 2 @ $40.00. I'll be sending my 6.0 arm cars, I don't want to try to find one that will hold up. The comm plates came off both arms.

Lucky Bob has 2.7 ohm Wizzard arms with Tyco timing. Not sure if this helps or not?

WBJ those are a green arm. I know they are fast but very unreliable at 18 volts. It should be fun to watch at 26.
With the two I picked up for this race, I think that when the arm was epoxied (or not) it wasn't done well. Both failed on the bench at 12 volts, I heard a rev drop and the endbell looked like a ground display at the fireworks show. Im over it. If the 6 ohms burns it burns, I have lots of replacements on that motor.

I have not tried any of my 2.5s at 26v but I am pretty sure the BSRT G3 armature will hold up, they have a pretty decent comm. I will let all know when I do some testing. When I did a hot wind on a low cost armature the comm plates came right off first pass.

In the past BSRT, MRT, and Viper arms all held up. The SG+ type chassis was dominant.

Well these were SG+ arms. I think I got the friday after lunch ones.
I'm getting a wiff of old school BS. I didn't say who they belonged to.. Ive said it before and say it again. These old school slot wars are as dead as the ones that relive it will be one day. Not sure why one needs to cross over for things to get better day by day in the slot world , but so be it. I can wait.
Dave I think the BSRT will hold up to.

Thanks WJB. I have Slottech 2.7 arms just can't find lower unless it's way lower. I'm stubborn I want to stay with tyco timmed.
Not much difference in ohms but still if I had a tyco 2.4 you better believe I'd run it :-)

Im just a bit frustrated with not having it work out for me. I payed a lot for those 2.00 motors. Frustrated I forgot to stay within my race box.

Pete,
Thank you very kindly for the information. As Yoda might say. "Paying attention, I am".
I'm content to be a newbie in the slower classes. I haven't quite figured those out yet either. But I'm still having fun.
